I've updated my profile, but I don't see it listed in the membership directory.
Make sure you've selected the option to make your profile viewable by others:
Click "My Settings" in the upper right corner of your screen.
In the light blue bar above your profile there's a link that says "Modify membership settings"
Now choose the "Yes" button when you see the question: "Would you like to appear in the membership directory?"
Click "Finish," and you're done!

After filling in the fields my profile, I was told that my email address is already associated with another existing membership ID. I've never used the Alumni Network website before - so why am I already in the system? And how can I get the password for this membership ID?
The system detects that you have a member ID associated with your email address because alumni.daad.org shares the same back-end IT management system as www.daad.org and www.gain-network.org. You must already be a member of one of these other two sites. You are able to create separate profiles on each site with different personal details. However, you’ll have to use the same log-in information for both sites.
If you can't remember your password for your already existing member ID - or if you want to cancel your preexisting member account and start fresh on the Alumni Network site, send an email to alumni@daad.org.
