The International Alumni Forum is an online forum reserved exclusively for the many thousands of DAAD alumni and scholarship holders worldwide. The forum offers the following special services:
- Discussion Forum
The Forum will provide you with an opportunity to contact other alumni and scholarship holders from other countries and to exchange your experience and views. Do you have a job to offer? Are you looking for a place to live? Do you want to continue improving your language skills after returning home? Post it on the Discussion Forum.
- Database of Scholarship Holder Reports
DAAD supports many thousands of scholarship holders every year. A great many of these scholarship holders regularly send their reports on their experiences in the host country during the DAAD-supported stay. These reports provide information on all aspects relating to academic life in the university town, as well as valuable tips on the culture, country and people of the respective host country. The forum provides the current group of scholarship holders with an opportunity to pass this information on to future generations of DAAD scholarship holders by placing their report in the database. And the more reports we receive, the sooner we will be able to provide newly-selected scholarship holders with specific and relevant information on their host country, their host university and their academic discipline. Please contribute to the reports database via the Forum.

Formerly a scholarship holder and today... ? Director Jim Jarmusch, writer Jeffrey Eugenides and German Ambassador to the US Klaus Scharioth were all once DAAD scholars!
It is with great pleasure and a good degree of pride that DAAD-Bonn presents the successful careers of some of our former scholarship holders. The people presented here stand for more than 75 years of mobility support provided by the DAAD.

"DAAD Letter": the Alumni Magazine |
 |
 |
 |
 |
"DAAD Letter" appears in German three times a year and is free of charge to DAAD alumni. Articles aim to provide information on developments and trends in higher education, science and research policy fields in Germany as well as on the DAAD's support activities and programmes. In addition, DAAD alumni get an opportunity to report on the impressions and experience they gained during their supported stay. You will find letters to the editor here.
The magazine "DAAD Letter" is free of charge for current one-year-scholarship holders and all alumni. You can register or update your personal details in the international DAAD database in Bonn through the Alumni Forum.
